THE SEVEN FRIDAYS
COOKIE POLICY
Last updated: 4 June 2026
1. Introduction
The present Cookie Policy explains how The Seven Fridays FZ-LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on its website at https://www.thesevenfridays.com and, once released, its mobile application (together, the "Platform"). The Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how we collect and process personal data, and our User Terms and Conditions, both of which are available on the Platform.
By continuing to use the Platform, and, where consent is required, by accepting non-essential cookies through the controls we provide, you agree to the placement of cookies as described below. Where your consent is needed, you may grant, decline, or withdraw it at any time, and the methods for doing so are set out in Section 8.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website or application stores on your device when you visit it. They enable a service to recognise your device, to remember information about your visit, and to function correctly across successive interactions. Alongside cookies, comparable technologies may be used, including the following.
Pixels and Web Beacons: Small graphic files or code snippets that record whether a page or message has been viewed.
Local Storage: Mechanisms within your browser or application that retain data on your device to support functionality and preferences.
Software Development Kits: Code embedded in a mobile application that performs functions analogous to those of cookies on a website.
Throughout this Policy, references to "cookies" should be understood to include these related technologies where the context permits.
3. Current Status of Cookie Use on the Platform
At the present stage of our operations, the Platform deploys only those cookies that are strictly necessary for its basic functioning, and it does not employ third-party advertising, analytics, or marketing tracking tools. No advertising pixels, behavioural-profiling technologies, or external analytics services are currently active.
Our intention, as the Platform develops, is to introduce additional functionality that may rely on further categories of cookies, including analytics and, potentially, marketing technologies. Before any such category is activated, we will update this Policy, configure our consent-management mechanism accordingly, and, where the law requires, obtain your prior consent. The descriptions of non-essential cookie categories set out below are therefore provided for transparency and to establish the framework that will govern any future use.
4. Categories of Cookies
Cookies may be classified according to the function they perform. The categories described below reflect both our current practice and the structure we will apply should we expand cookie use.
Strictly Necessary Cookies: Cookies essential to the operation of the Platform, enabling core functions such as secure log-in, account authentication, session management, the maintenance of a booking through checkout, and the preservation of security. Because these cookies are indispensable to the delivery of a service you have requested, they do not require your consent and cannot be disabled through our consent tool, although your browser settings may permit their restriction at the cost of impaired functionality.
Functionality and Preference Cookies: Cookies that remember choices you make, such as your preferred language, region, or display settings, in order to provide a more personalised experience. Where these cookies are not strictly necessary, their use is conditioned upon your consent.
Analytics and Performance Cookies: Cookies that collect information, generally in aggregated or pseudonymised form, regarding how visitors use the Platform, including which pages are visited and whether errors are encountered. Insights of this kind assist us in improving the design and performance of the Platform. Cookies in this category are deployed only with your consent and are not active at present.
Marketing and Targeting Cookies: Cookies used to deliver content and promotions relevant to your interests and to measure the effectiveness of our communications. Such cookies, which may be set by us or by advertising partners, are deployed only with your consent and are not active at present.
5. Session and Persistent Cookies
Cookies may also be distinguished by their duration. Session cookies are temporary and are erased when you close your browser or application, serving functions that are required only for the length of a single visit. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period, or until you delete them, and allow the Platform to recognise your device on return visits. The retention period of each persistent cookie is determined by its purpose and is configured so as not to exceed the duration necessary for that purpose.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Certain cookies may, in the future, be placed by parties other than The Seven Fridays, for instance where we engage an analytics provider, a payment service provider, or a content-delivery partner whose services involve the setting of cookies. Where third-party cookies are introduced, the relevant third party will process the resulting data in accordance with its own privacy and cookie policies, over which we exercise limited control. We will identify any such third parties, and provide links to their policies, within our consent-management tool and within an updated version of this Policy at the time those cookies become active. As noted above, no third-party cookies of this nature are currently in use.
7. Legal Basis for the Use of Cookies
Our use of cookies rests upon the legal bases prescribed by the applicable legislation. For users located in the European Union, the placement of non-essential cookies requires prior consent in accordance with the ePrivacy Directive (Directive 2002/58/EC, as amended by Directive 2009/136/EC) as implemented in the relevant Member State, while the subsequent processing of any personal data derived from those cookies is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation. Consent obtained for non-essential cookies is freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous, and may be withdrawn with the same ease with which it was granted.
For users in the United Arab Emirates, the processing of personal data collected through cookies is conducted in accordance with Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and its Executive Regulations. Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the provision of a service you have actively requested, do not depend upon consent in either framework.
8. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences
You retain control over the cookies stored on your device, and several mechanisms are available to you.
Consent-Management Tool: Where the Platform deploys non-essential cookies, a consent banner or preference centre will be presented, enabling you to accept or refuse each category of optional cookie and to revisit and amend your choices at any time. Because the Platform currently uses only strictly necessary cookies, the range of options presented will expand as additional categories are introduced.
Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. You may configure your browser to reject cookies entirely or to alert you when a cookie is being set. Guidance for the configuration of common browsers is provided by their respective developers.
Device Settings: Within a mobile application, you may adjust permissions and advertising identifiers through the privacy settings of your device's operating system.
Please note that restrictions applied through your browser or device operate independently of our consent-management tool and may affect cookies across all the websites and applications you use.
9. Consequences of Disabling Cookies
Declining or deleting cookies is your prerogative, although certain consequences may follow. Should you block strictly necessary cookies, core features of the Platform, including secure log-in, account access, and the completion of a booking, may cease to operate correctly. Refusing functionality or preference cookies may diminish the convenience of your experience, requiring you to re-enter information that would otherwise be remembered. Declining analytics cookies, where applicable, does not impair your use of the Platform but limits our ability to measure and improve its performance. We have structured our cookie use so that the refusal of optional cookies never prevents access to the essential functions of the service.
10. Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal expressing a preference that your online activity not be monitored. Because no consistent industry standard governs how such signals should be interpreted, the Platform does not currently respond to them in a uniform manner. We nevertheless honour the cookie preferences you express through our consent-management tool and through your browser and device settings, which provide effective control over the cookies placed on your device.
11. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may revise this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use, in our services, or in the applicable law. The version in force is identified by the "Last updated" date appearing at the head of the document. Where we introduce a new category of non-essential cookies, or otherwise make a material change, we will update this Policy and, where required, seek your renewed consent before the change takes effect. Periodic review of this Policy is encouraged so that you remain informed of our practices.
